Public Agencies

Public agencies are those that receive some funding from tax monies, United Way contributions or other contributions.  Most public agencies will handle a variety of problems but refer persons they are unequipped to handle to a more appropriate provider.

Payment for services in public agencies is most often based on a financial interview that determines the individual’s ability to pay for services.  Some private providers listed in this Directory also use this type of “sliding scale”
